JOIN LCA IN THE #33Kfor13 CAMPAIGN

At the LCA Vision Chapel, Mr. Patterson asked each student the following question:  “How are you going to leave a personal LEGACY this year?”  It was a great challenge.  In addition, Mr. Patterson went on to share how Bulldog Nation was going to leave a LEGACY collectively for the 2017-18 school year.  We are asking you to help us leave a LEGACY by participating in the #33Kfor13 campaign this year.  In our LEGACY year 50th Anniversary, our challenge is to take care of our LCA brothers and sisters.  This year, our LCA families expressed a need of $631,909.  While LCA awarded $182,993, that was nowhere close to meeting the tuition needs of our families.  We know that there are many families currently struggling to meet their financial needs of keeping their child at LCA.  Therefore, we know that if we can raise $33,000 as a community, we can help 13 students come to or remain at LCA.  What an incredible LEGACY this year!  If every student were able to give $19.71, we would meet our goal.  So the question is…”Bulldog Nation, will you join us in leaving a LEGACY in the lives of those who are closest to us?”  We trust God that it will happen!

LCA is Collecting Personal Items for Hurricane Victims

LCA has partnered with Gleaning for the World in collecting personal items for hurricane victims. We have set a goal for Bulldog Nation to fill four large bins of supplies of personal supplies (toothbrushes, soap, baby wipes, etc.). Donate your items in the bins located in the main lobby and help give back to those who are being affected by the Hurricane.

Meet and Greet Survey

Please take a few minutes to give us some insight on Meet and Greet this year by completing this survey. Your feedback helps us improve so we can better support our families.

LCA REMEMBERS SEPT 11, 2001

This Monday, Sept 11, we will honor the fallen and the families who lost a loved one in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. On this day, the flag in our courtyard will fly at “half-mast.” At exactly 8:46 a.m., Pastor Preston will come over the intercom and read this announcement. It is appropriate for all ages and will be read to the entire school. For grades 5-12, our Bible classes will be watching this video and covering the 9/11 attack. Our goal is to remember, show respect, and pray, and not to scare at any age level. It is hard to believe, but a majority of our students were not living when 9/11 occurred and we do not want anyone to ever forget what happened that day that changed our way of living forever.

Spiritual Emphasis Week!

September 12-14 will be Spiritual Emphasis Week. Tuesday, September 12, will be a Chapel day schedule with a time of prayer and worship. Wednesday, September 13, will be an early Chapel schedule with guest speaker, Robert Madu joining us. Thursday, September 14, will be a regular Chapel day schedule with Campus Pastor, P.J. Preston, speaking. This will be an amazing week of spiritual growth and worship.

THE CHICK-FIL-A LEADERSHIP ACADEMY LED BY SUPERINTENDENT JOHN PATTERSON!
Are you ready to be a part of something bigger? Watch this! Our Superintendent, John Patterson, will be leading the LCA / Chick-fil-a Leadership Academy (CFALA) this year!  Visit our page!  The CFALA will meet once per month (in the evening).  Mr. Patterson will lead group discussions about leadership from a practical standpoint.  At many of these meetings, there will be a short service project.  The keynote event will be a community service project, which will unify the group to make a difference in our community.  If you have questions, please email Mr. Patterson at lcasuperintendent@liberty.edu.  Otherwise, the first step is to fill out the student application (click here) and drop the application in the Office of Student Accounts.  Mr. Patterson will only take the first 30 students in grades 8-12. However, precedence will be given, starting with 11th and 12th grade students. Click here to view the impact this program has had on other participants of the Chick-fil-a Leadership Academy. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, September 13!

Learn About our LCA Reading Program

Reading is a cornerstone of our academic program at LCA. We want our students to be proficient, lifelong readers who will comprehend and think critically about what they read both in and out of the classroom. In order to further develop our students’ capacity for reading, we have some changes to our reading programs for the 2017-2018 school year. Please click here for details on the reading program at each level, followed by helpful FAQs about the new program, Reading Plus.
